Northview and Indiana State alumna, Brady Shoemaker, is no stranger to big games at the plate.
Shoemaker, who signed with the Chicago White Six organization after being drafted in the 19th round and joined the Bristol White Sox of the Appalachian League, set single game records with the Sycamores on May 17, 2008 with three home runs, 10 RBI and 12 total bases against Illinois State. On Saturday evening, Shoemaker hit his first two professional homers and drove home four runs as Bristol defeated Kingsport, 11-5.
In the win, Shoemaker also went 5-for-5 at the plate and walked in reaching base six times.
In 13 games this season, Shoemaker has had 50 at-bats and has .440 with 22 hits. To this point, Shoemaker has slugged .620 and has reached base more than 48 percent of the time and has nine RBI.
In five games this week, Shoemaker has gone 11-for-21, which is good for a .524 clip at the plate with six RBI.
