Marsha Lynn Caughlan, 56, rural Parke County, passed away at her residence July 16, 2009.
Marsha was born in Macon, Miss., Nov. 4, 1952, to Herbert Clyde and Wanda Marie (Reiber) Hallett.
Marsha attended Cory High School. Growing up she lived with her family on the family farm in rural Clay and Parke Counties. Later she worked for the Victory Christian Center in child care and most recently for the Bethany House Soup Kitchen and Clothes Closet. She enjoyed cooking, caring for others, sewing, animals and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her father Herbert Hallett and sister-in-law Carolyn Jean Hallett.
She is survived by her mother Wanda Hallett, husband George, sons George Robert Caughlan and wife Cinnamon, Indianapolis, Joseph Jay Caughlan, rural Parke County, Jonathon Caughlan, Columbus, Ind., Antonio Caughlan, rural Parke County, grandchildren Madeline and Carmen, brothers Ronald Hallett, Indianapolis, and Preston Leon Hallett and wife Linda Jenell, North Tonawanda, N.Y., as well as several extended family members.
Services will be at Lawson-Miller Chapel Monday, July 20, 2009, at 11 a.m., with Brother Rick Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Calcutta Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home Sunday from 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Bethany House, 1402 Locust St., Terre Haute, Ind. 47807, or the Clay County Humane Society, 8280 N.
