Farris claims sixth-consecutive Forest Park Club title

There was a familiar face claiming the Forest Park Club Championship on Sunday.

Troy Farris edged away from Eric Trusler over the final two holes to win by three strokes with a 9-under-par 133. The victory was Farris' sixth-straight club championship and his 10th overall.

Farris opened with a round of 65 and claimed the title with a 68 on Sunday. Trusler began play in the final round, two strokes back after a 67 and finished with a 69 for a two-round total of 136.

Farris and Trusler were even through 16 holes before Farris pulled away for the win. Elliott Booe finished third with a 139 followed by Kade Baker, who shot a 144 followed by Dan Moreland in the championship flight.

Jeff Gaskill's 145 was good enough to win the first flight followed by Mark McCollum (147) and Scott Buell (152).

Zac Clark won the second flight with a 157 with Jim Edington next at 163.

Steve Penman claimed the senior division with an even par 142 with Jeff Eaglin winning the first flight. Ben Kiburis edged Bob England on the fourth playoff hole for the super senior title and both Olivia Oehler and Daniel Eaglin won junior honors.
