TERRE HAUTE -- Adults 55-older living with an ongoing health condition or caregivers of people living with health conditions are encouraged to attend "Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Conditions."
The workshop is scheduled to take place July 28 and will run the next five Tuesdays from 9:30 a.m.-noon, at the McMillan Adult Day Service, 486 1st St., Terre Haute. Parking will be available in the lot on 6th Street, east of the building.
The course -- offered by the Area 7 Agency on Aging and Disabled -- is open to those who have chronic, long-term conditions such as diabetes, arthritis, heart disease, asthma, lung disease, emphysema, stroke, Parkinson's Disease, osteoporosis, and multiple sclerosis as well as others.
The course is also open to friends, caregivers or relatives of persons with chronic disease.
Adults 18-over can benefit from the skills taught at the workshop.
The Area 7 Agency and Disabled staff has been trained and licensed by Stanford University to offer the course.
