TERRE HAUTE -- "Beginner's Genealogy Class" is scheduled to begin Tuesday, Aug. 4, and will continue each Tuesday through August, from 6-8 p.m.
Cost for the entire course is $5 per person, which includes genealogy materials and a Legacy Program CD.
The Beginner's Class is ideal for beginning genealogists, those who are interested in genealogy and even the seasoned genealogist, who could use help in organizing and documenting files.
Loran Braught, professor emeritus of Indiana State University, will instruct the class. Braught is an active life member of the Indiana Genealogy Society, founder of the 10 county Wabash Valley Genealogy Society, longtime member of the Iowa Genealogical Society and is one of the Legacy Program instructors for the monthly legacy class, which meets in the Vigo County Public Library on the third Thursday of each month.
The class is open to the public, but registration is required, based on limited seating. Early registration is recommended.
