Theodore "Ted" E. Brown, 81, Clay City, passed away at Greene County General Hospital July 24, 2009 following a lengthy illness.
He was born June 28, 1928, to Hovey and Ruth (Dressler) Brown. Ted attended Bowling Green High School. Mr. Brown served in the United States Army. He married Dorothy C. Giltz Dec. 8, 1949. Ted farmed in the Clay City area for his entire life. He was a former member of Fatch Chapel United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Dorothy and a daughter Nancy Brown Howell, brother Jim Brown and twin sisters in infancy.
He is survived by his daughter Deanna Roberts and husband Brent, Clay City, grandchildren Deric Roberts and wife Megan, Brock Roberts, Nicole (Howell) Brown and husband Cory, brothers Richard Brown, William Elsworth Brown and Rodney Brown.
Services will be at Schoppenhorst Funeral Home, Clay City, Sunday July 26, 2009, at 3 p.m., with Pastor Nathan Couch officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral Home Sunday, from 1 p.m. until time of services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Susan G.
