The following is a list of upcoming events Saturday, Sunday and Monday as provided to The Brazil Times:

* Notice

Any church in Clay County that had wrong information regarding address or phone number printed in the 2008 Brazil Times' Church Directory is urged to contact The Brazil Times at 446-2216, Monday-Friday, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., to correct the information or update it.

* Library project

For the past several years, the Brazil Public Library has sponsored, "Project School Supply."

New basic school supplies will be collected and then equally divided among the seven elementary schools, North Clay Middle School, Northview High School, the Cumberland Academy and Clay City Jr./Sr. High School.

The supplies will be delivered to the schools before the new school year begins and distributed to needy students at the discretion of principals and teachers.

The library is asking anyone interested to consider donating so it can equip needy students with new school supplies.

* Grand opening

The Mayberry Malt and Coffee Shoppe, Clay City, will celebrate its grand opening today with prizes, drawings, instant winners and Mayberry trivia.

* Tractor Show!

The annual Antique Tractor show will take place at Goshorn Park, Clay City, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., today, with a free ham and bean dinner at 11:30 a.m.

Tractor games will take place all afternoon and prizes will be given away hourly.

* Zumbathon!

Union Hospital, Terre Haute, will host a Zumbathon United Way fundraiser, Saturday, Aug. 1, from 10 a.m.-noon, at Union Hospital's campus at the parking lot on the corner of 7th Street and 8th Avenue.

The rain date has been scheduled for Sunday,from 5-7 p.m.

There will be special door prizes and all proceeds go to the United Way.

Pre-registration is $15 for Zumba only and $20 for Zumba and a T-shirt.

Participants may pre-register by e-mail at rminton@uhhg.org or by calling the Union Hospital Center for Fitness and Performance at 812-238-7311.

* Free supplies

The Family Worship Center, located at the corner of United States 40 and County Road 425 W., will be giving away backpacks filled with school supplies to those in need from noon-2 p.m., today.

The backpacks will be given away on a first-come-first-serve basis.

* Meeting set

The Clay County Historical Society will meet Aug. 3, at the cabins in Forest Park.

The board will meet at 6 p.m., and the membership picnic/meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Those interested in attending are asked to bring a covered dish and table service.

In case of inclement weather, the meeting will be moved to the museum and Ken Turner will conduct the program.
