Luther was born March 28, 1925, in Brazil, to the late William and Willella Senter.
Luther was the youngest of four brothers R.J. Dunbar, Sylvester Rogers, J.D. Dunbar and Boone Dunbar, and one sister Willella Mae Allen, all who preceded him in death.
Luther served his country in WWII with the U.S. Army from 1943-1946. He was honorably discharged.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Juanita Seaton Dunbar, a daughter Geneva Matthews, several nephews, nieces, cousins from California, Indiana and the Chicagoland area, three stepdaughters, Michelle, Nedra and Cynthia, eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a host of extended family and friends.
Celebration of Life Service will be conducted today, at 10 a.m., at Christian Faith Fellowship Church, 1727 27th St., Zion, Ill., with Pastor James E. Logan, officiating. Interment will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, Ill.
Visitation will begin at the church at 9 a.m.
