Would you like to know a secret?
Are you available Saturday, Sept. 19, from 9 a.m.-noon?
Do you like to have fun but learn something at the same time?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, then read on.
Clay County Extension Office will host an event titled, "Nature's Path to Wellness," Saturday, Sept. 19, and the public is invited.
All of the activities and events are free and will interest anyone from 1 to 100. You will be able to learn about butterfly gardening, boat safety, invasive plants, forestry, water quality, herbal and medicinal plants, fitness and exercise.
Some of the scheduled activities include rocket launching, Zumbaexercising, hiking, nature walking and geo-catching.
Those walking the nature trail will have the opportunity to win prizes, including a Walmart gift certificate.
Children's activities include campfire cooking, face painting, jumping in a bounce house and making a nature craft. Most all of the activities are hands-on so don't think you are going to sit in a chair and listen to someone talk.
I hope you will plan on joining us for this special day because it is being hosted for you, the public.
I guarantee there will be something for everyone and you will come away from this activity having fun and with new found knowledge as well.
I hope to see you there.
