Elaine Sneath Hoeler, 51, Fairfax, Va., formerly of Brazil, died Aug. 22, 2009.
She was born Jan. 1, 1958, in Brazil, the daughter of Harry Sneath and Rosetta Ferguson Sneath. She graduated from Brazil High School, Class of 1976.
In high school, she was active in drill team. She obtained her undergraduate degree in marketing from Indiana State University in 1980. She married Bill Hoeler, he survives. Elaine received her Masters Degree in Education from the University of Houston. As an educator, she tutored children in Virginia that were ill and terminally ill with special needs. Later she was a licensed realtor for Wolf Run Realty in Clifton, Va.
Elaine always made every house a home, wherever company transfers took them. She was the mom that went beyond the ordinary and did the 'extras' for her family. She had special talents for home decorating, cooking, gardening and teaching among many other skills. She was a beautiful person inside and out.
Elaine is remembered as loving mother to her five children, Chris (20), Diana (18), Eric (16), Jaclyn (16) and Daniel (16), all of Fairfax, Va., two brothers, Roger Sneath and wife Pauline of Madison, Wis., Rodney Sneath and wife Jackie, Terre Haute, one sister Lisa Casassa and husband Troy, Raleigh, N.C., many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
