CLOVERDALE -- Lieber State Recreation Area -- in conjunction with Friends of Cagles Mill Lake -- will host "Circle City Pyrotechnics At The Beach," beginning Friday.
As part of a three-day Labor Day weekend festival, events begin at 6 p.m., Friday, when Smokey the Bear visits the campgrounds at Lieber State Recreation Area, 317 W. Lieber Road, Suite 1, Cloverdale.
Events continue Saturday. Beginning at 1 p.m., pool and beach games will be offered while nature talks at the pool and beach are set for 2 p.m.
A boat tour is scheduled for 3 p.m. It is a first-come-first-serve tour as there is limited seating. Cost is $3 for adults and $1 for children (12-under). In case of rain, the tour will be canceled.
Friends of Cagles Mill Lake will sponsor "I Scream For Ice Cream," from 4-6 p.m. The ice cream social will offer sundaes for 42 each at the sports and activity field.
Those interested in attending will have the opportunity to "Spin and Win," as well. For $1, festival goers will get to spin for a chance to win 1-10 tickets, which will go toward prizes, including a bicycle and more. Those attending must be present to win.
Karaoke will be offered beginning at 8 p.m., hosted by Richard Overshiner. Smokey the Bear will also visit during Karaoke.
Fireworks will be shot off at the beach beginning at dusk.
On Sunday, pool and beach games begin at 1 p.m., while nature talks at the beach and pool are set for 2 p.m.
Another boat tour is scheduled for 3 p.m.
Smokey the Bear will pay a visit to the campgrounds again Monday at 1 p.m.
