The YMCA of Clay County will conduct its first youth dance of the school year Friday, Sept. 11.

The event is for students in grades sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade.

The dance will begin at 8 p.m., and will conclude at 11 p.m.

Cost is $5 per person. Youth interested in attending must bring school identification to verify grade level.

Home school families or those without schools IDs may contact the YMCA to verify the age of their youth.

In addition to the YMCA DJ (Milo Miller), in the gym, the game room will be open and concessions will be available in the community room.

YMCA staff and volunteers (18-older) will chaperone the event.

Parents are also welcome to stay and help chaperone.

Future fall dance dates include Oct. 2, Nov. 13, and Dec. 11.

For more information, call the YMCA at 442-6761.
