The Brazil Post Office retail counter will return hours of operation to its regular schedule beginning Tuesday.
Regular hours are:
* Monday-Friday, from 8 a.m.-4 p.m., and
* Saturday, from 9 a.m.-noon.
Postmaster Dianna Egold said some customers may have taken advantage of alternate postal service access during the abbreviated summer hours.
She said customers may continue to purchase mailing and shipping services from the U.S. Postal Service without making a trip to the post office.
"They can go to our website, usps.com, to buy stamps or send packages with Click-N-Ship," Egold said. "Customers can even request to have their letter carrier pick up their package the next business day at no charge."
Adjusting retail hours during the summer allowed supervisors greater flexibility when scheduling staffing to accomodate fluctuating lobby traffic, resulting in increased operational efficiency and reduced operating costs.
