Donald Dale Boswell, 81, Brazil, passed away at his residence, at 4:45 a.m., Sept. 4, 2009, following an extended illness.

He was born Oct. 18, 1927, in Putnam County, to Emory and Beulah (Cofer) Boswell. Don graduated from Bridgeton High School with the class of 1945. While in high school, he was a member of the track, basketball and baseball teams. He married Naomi Wright Dec. 12, 1949. Don worked for the Arketex Ceramics Corporation, Clay City Co-op, Wesland Co-op in Montezuma, Ind., retiring in 2003.

Don was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching Cardinals Baseball, Pacers Basketball and Colts Football. He also enjoyed bowling and playing horse shoes, wood working and will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He was a member of the Way of the Cross Assembly of God Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Jean Gebhardt and his twin sister Doris Gale Scott.

Survivors include his wife of nearly 60 years Naomi Boswell, son Mike Boswell and friend Dawn Barger, grandchildren Andrew Killion and wife Heather, Crown Point, and Autumn Drake and husband Sean, Brazil, and a sister Merita Brinson, Indianapolis, as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Services for Mr. Boswell will be at French Funeral Home, Brazil, Wednesday Sept. 9, 2009, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Jimmy Dowers officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery, Terre Haute.
