Warren "Sonny" L. Giltz, 74, Center Point, passed away at St. Vincent Clay Hospital, Sept. 9, 2009, at 3 a.m., from a brief illness.
Warren was born Feb. 24, 1935 to Roscoe and Fern (Siples) Giltz. He attended Ashboro High School.
He married Norma Stearley June 3, 1955. In years past, Warren worked as a farmer and truck driver.
He also worked at Columbia House in Terre Haute and most recently, he retired from Great Dane Trailers in 2004. Warren was a member of the Ashboro United Methodist Church. He enjoyed scooter riding, playing guitar and taking care of his yard.
He was preceded in death by his parents Roscoe and Fern Giltz, and a sister Dorothy C. Brown.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years Norma, daughters Kathy Collins (Fred), Clay City, and Donna Bradbury, Center Point, and a son Terry Giltz (Becky), Center Point, grandsons Casey Collins, Cody Eder and Michael Eder and a stepgranddaughter Amber Skeel.
Services will be at French Funeral Home in Brazil, Friday, Sept. 11, 2009, at 2 p.m., with Pastor David Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Center Point Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home Friday from noon until time of services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Center Point Volunteer Fire Department.
