CENTER POINT -- Organizers in one local small town "hope people will come out and have a big time" on Sept. 19.
Details were recently released about the upcoming Center Point Community Fall Festival.
The event, which takes place along Main Street in front of the Center Point Fire House, starts with a hog roast dinner and ham and beans (cornbread included) at 4:30 p.m.
The price couldn't be better, with organizers accepting a free-will offering.
Homemade pies, cakes, cookies and other treats will be available for a small fee.
The Ashboro Church Ice Cream Social Group will be selling homemade ice cream and toppings throughout the festival.
Entertainment will be available throughout the evening, including live music by the Jackson Township Band, the Graybeards and the James Family Singers. "Bubbles the Clown" will be on hand for the young at heart and local crafters will have wares available for purchase.
Raffle tickets will be available for purchase for several gift items to be raffled off during the evening.
An open invitation is extended to antique car, tractor and garden tractor owners to bring their vehicles, which will be parked along Main Street, for enthusiasts to enjoy during the event.
At dusk, a fireworks display will be available for spectators to enjoy on the west end of Main Street to signal the close of the festival.
