'Big Green Tractors!'

Monday, September 14, 2009

A handful of Northview High School students elected to drive their tractors (above) to school Monday morning to celebrate the beginning of the school's Homecoming week. The students parked the tractors in the parking lot at Kennedy's Crossing Bingo Hall. (Below) NHS senior Troy Pierce gets on his tractor and readies to head home.

But, gee whiz, aren't most of those tractors red? Someone needs to go back to kindergarten and work on identifying their colors...........LOL!

It would seem to me it is unecessary ro make derogatory comments regarding this article, and at least an effort was made to run for change in the school system, we need all the ideas we can get. Shake hands and let it go, I'm sure there's hungry people out there someplace who could use this type of misplaced concern.

I like both colors. Maybe the photographer is re-green color blind? Anyway Leo did say it in jest. Sounds like a fun way to kick off Homecoming! Enjoy!

I believe it is referring to the hot country song "Big Green Tractor". I think it was meant to be a play on words. I found it reather funny!!

Who cares what color they are. I think it is great that the kids get to do something fun and show school spirit !!!!!!

Maybe the town could do a homecoming parade for the kids? I have heard of other schools and communities doing this. Could be fun for everyone.

LOL.........well, most of the tractors ARE red and I do not listen to the radio much. I did hear the song "Big Green Tractor" a couple of days after posting my first comment.

Anyway, I don't care how the kids get to school as long as it is safely and they show up.

It was a nice way to start homecoming week and the 48-8 victory over Owen Valley was a good way to end it.
