Constitution proclamation

Monday, September 14, 2009

Brazil residents Saralu Young (middle) and Janice Bedwell, both members of the Fort Harrison Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, watch Brazil Mayor Ann Bradshaw sign a proclamation Monday morning declaring Sept. 17-23, 2009 as Constitution Week. The week commemorates the 222nd anniversary of the signing of the United States Constitution on Sept. 17, 1787. On Aug. 2, 1956, Public Law 915 was enacted allowing the President of the United States to designate this time period as Constitution Week on an annual basis.

Way Cool! Let us all remember the Constitution that protects our rights and liberties!
