Candidate to speak at Senior Center

Tuesday, September 15, 2009

BRAZIL -- State Senator Marlin Stutzman will be speaking at the Clay County Senior Center, 120 S. Franklin St., Brazil, Monday, Sept. 21.

The event will take place at 7 p.m. and is sponsored by the Clay County Republican Club.

Stutzman is a fourth generation farmer from Howe, Ind.

For the past seven years, while continuing to farm, he has served as a State Representative for District 52 in Indiana, and is now a State Senator for District 13.

He recently announced his intentions to run for the U.S. Senate for the seat currently held by Evan Bayh (D-Indianapolis).

This will be Stutzman's second visit to Clay County this month as he spoke to the Brazil Rotary Club Sept. 9.

All are invited to attend the Sept. 21 event.

In addition, the Republic club will host a "Rally in the Rotunda," at 7 p.m., Monday, Sept. 28, in the rotunda of the Clay County Courthouse.

Indiana State Treasurer Richard Mourdock will be the featured speaker.

More information regarding the rally will be available at a later date.

Well, I can tell you one thing: this Democrat's going to be there! I'm fed up with this stuff. Anyone new is going to get my vote, regardless of politics. What we have certainly isn't working.
