Members of the St. Vincent Clay Hospital's Health 2009 Mission and Mentoring recently created a program called "Don't Hesitate to Educate," where the goal was to collect school supplies for the seven county elementary schools.

The group made posters and placed collection boxes throughout the hospital. In addition, they sought out donations from partners in the community. Contributing to the project included Cloverleaf Nursing and Rehab, Exceptional Living Center, Southern Care Hospice, US Nails, York Chevrolet, Kroger, Dr. Johnson, Dr. Goodale, Dr. C. Oehler, Dr. J. Oehler, Dr. Mendoze and Dr. Paje

The Mission and Mentoring program began in 1993 under the leadership of Sister Mary Elizabeth Cullen, D.C., who recognized the need to involve all associates in the work of mission integration. The purpose of the program is to provide associates with information, insights and experiences that will prepare them to support the work of mission integration throughout the St. Vincent Health ministry.
