North Clay volleyball clips Scotties

North Clay's s seventh and eighth-grade volleyball teams pushed their season records to a perfect 8-0 with wins over Sarah Scott on Monday evening.

The seventh-grade squad picked up a 25-14, 25-4 victory over the Scotties as Mikayla Rowan served up five aces and six total service points and Whit-ney Halfhill added five of her own points with two aces for the Knights.

Hannah Minor added in five total points from the service line followed by four apiece from Sydney Buell and Deaven McCrocklin. McKenzi Kumpf chipped in with three points and a pair of ills and Shea Britton had two kills in the match.

Lainey Latham, Abbey Timberman and Ramey Miller all had two points in the victory with Kenzie Mager, Mad-ison Nevins and Taylor Hess each scoring a point. Nevins and Hess each had assists.

In the eighth-grade match, North Clay took a convincing 25-4, 25-13 win over Sarah Scott as Liz McVeigh led the team with nine service points. Emily Pollard and Audrey Clark were next with eight points from the service line. Each had three aces and Clark had an assist and a kill.

Lorrie LaTourette had two points with an ace and Jami Warner added in three points, all on aces. Shelby Timberman and Kayla Watson had three points each, Leslie Ringo had two along with Andi Harting. Shelbi Morris added one point.

The Knights play at home against S. Vermillion this evening at 5:30 p.m.
