Tri Kappa Associate Chapter met Monday, Sept. 14, at 6:30 p.m., at the First United Methodist Church Trayler Hall. The meeting was opened by President Sandra Henderson with the song and opening verse. Mary Anne Froderman read the roll call with 22 members and guest Teresa Akers answering. Minutes of the May 4 and Executive meeting on June 9 were read by Mary Anne.

Treasurers' report was given by Treasurer Kim Stearley. Kim presented the budget for review and it was excepted.

The only bills presented were to Sandra Henderson for the registration for Sandra and Kathy Witham to attend the Province Workshop on Saturday Sept. 19.

An amendment to the by-laws was voted on to raise the yearly dues to $35. This was passed for the second time as required.

Sandra reminded everyone that we are still collecting items for the Humane Shelter, money for the Eastside Angel Fund and the Silent Auction. Also pop tabs for Riley Hospital are being collected by Kathy Bell and plastic containers for the Senior Center for Jane Mercer.

The Officers Workshop will be held in Clayton, Ind., on Saturday, Sept 19. Sandra Henderson and Kathy Witham are scheduled to attend but if Kathy can not, then Mary Ann Gosset will take her place.

Sandra read a letter from the State committee regarding the first 50 presidents of Tri Kappa. They are planning on writing a book and honoring these ladies. Our own Peggy Blair was one of the presidents that will be included. Sandra will appoint a committee next month to work on this.

Thanks to tonights committee: Linda Easton, Sandy Swindle, Mary Ann Froderman and Sandra Henderson. The next meeting will be Monday, Oct. 5, with hostesses: Susie Freeman, Kim Stearley, Kathy Bell and Mary Ann Gossett. The meeting was closed with the closing verse.
