The following is a list of food service inspections conducted by the Clay County Health Department during the month of August 2009:

* Bernard's BBQ Pit, 87 State Road 46, Center Point (one critical item: No sanitizer in use at three-compartment sink dishwashing station; one non-critical item),

* Long John Silvers, 1860 W. United States 40, Brazil (one non-critical item, corrected during inspection),

* Kentucky Fried Chicken, 818 E. National Ave., Brazil (one non-critical item, corrected during inspection), and

* Country Ladies Sweets and Treats, 2039 S. State Road 59, Center Point (one non-critical item).

Establishments with No Violations

* Martha and Company Catering, 5813 W. State Road 48, Jasonville, and

* Miller's IGA, 6506 SR 59, Clay City

Approved to Operate with No Violations

* J&J Snack Shack, Old Settler's Festival, Bowling Green,

* Triple M Concessions, Old Settler's Festival, Bowling Green,

* Oriental Foods, Old Settler's Festival, Bowling Green,

* 6 Points Trading Post Concessions, Old Settler's Festival, Bowling Green, and

* Gee Concessions, Old Settler's Festival, Bowling Green.

I am always amazed at how much cleaner all of the Clay County eating places are than Vigo County.

CC establishments almost never have any serious violations. When I read about the inspections in Vigo there are lots of problems.

I just do not understand... ;) Yeah Right.
