She was born March 23, 1931, in Clay City, as the daughter of Guy and Vivian Dickerson Gerber.
She graduated from Clay City High School with the class of 1949.
She married Joseph Holechko Sept. 2, 1961.
She had been employed at Quaker Maid Food Industries from 1957-78.
Following completion of the LPN program at Ivy Tech, she worked at Clay County Hospital and Holly Hills Nursing Home as an LPN from 1982-98.
She was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church in Brazil and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Lois Jean Snyder and brother Don Gerber.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years Joe, daughter Sue Pilgrim (David), sons Jim Groover (Penny), Eric Holechko (Mary) and Doug Holechko, grandchildren Karrie Pilgrim, Clint Groover, Patti (Kent) Walters, Corey Pilgrim, Brittney Holechko, Brianne Holechko, Angela Gallager and Melissa Robey.
She is also survived by sister Marilyn Joan Lozier, brother William Gerber (Carol) and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Tuesday, at Moore Funeral Home. A Rosary service will be at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at Annunciation Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, with Fr. Harold Rightor officiating.
Burial will follow at Restlawn Cemetery.
