Mark Oct. 4 on your calendar. That is our Friend Day Aniversary Sunday. We will no Sunday school that morning and our worship service will be at 10 a.m., instead of 10:30. Anyone reading this article is also invited. We will hear special music by the New City Quartet (pictured). A dinner will be served immediatley following the service. There will be no evening service.
Our church is blessed with many people who are willing to help out in many ways. We want take this opportunity to thank all of you. This writer doesn't always attend evening church, but we do want to thank the lady who plays the piano every Sunday evening.
We are still praying for many in our church who are having difficulties.
Please help them in your prayers, too: Harold, Helen, Ruth, Dave, Thelma and Juanita. Pastor Bill's dad will be having surgery next week. We want to pray for him and his family, too.
The mens golf outing has been changed to Oct. 10, at 1 p.m.
If you are not attending church anywhere else, please come be with us tomorrow. If you are not a born-again Christian, you never know when it will be too late. God wants you in His family. But it is up to you to make the choice whether you go to heaven or hell. We hope to see you soon.
