Open letter to Senator Harry Reid

Sunday, September 27, 2009

To the Editor:

Dear Sen. Reid,

There is talk of using reconcillation to ram the health care bill through.

Sir, may I remind you that you took an oath to uphold the Constitution and protect it? Have you not figured out yet that there are numerous violations of our Constitution in every version of this bill? A bill that you, sir, exempt yourself from and will force me to live under. This is unacceptable.

I would think that after a record protest, the like of which Washington D.C. has never seen before, our wise senators would realize this health care bill that is much more about control and taxation than health, would somehow know what to do.

How many people do we have to send to march in the streets? Four million? Eight million?

If you think the people are upset now, can you imagine how upset we will be if you use reconciliation to ram this cesspool of a bill through? This country will come apart if you try this.

Please, do not try it. We need a two party system and you would destroy the Democrat party leaving us to a Republican feeding frenzy. The imbalance would be devastating to this country and all because of a misused political maneuvering tactic. Please don't use it.

Thank you for your time.

George V. Bowles,

Brazil
