Jim R. Myers, 70, Terre Haute, died at 1:20 p.m., Friday, Sept. 25, 2009.

He was born April 29, 1939, in Elnora, Ind., to Paul R Myers and Mildred Stringer Myers.

Jim life's work was in the field of agriculture, and he retired from the Ulysses Co-op in 2004. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Ulysses, Kan., for many years, a current member of Maple Avenue United Methodist Church of Terre Haute, he served on the Board of Western Prairie Care Home in Ulysses, Kan., and a previous member of the Banks of the Wabash Chorus.

His parents and a sister Judity M. Neihart have preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Marcia Marvel Myers, whom he married on July, 29, 1966, son Bert R. Myers and his wife Michelle, Paul D. Myers and his wife Kristen, daughter Margaret F. Myers, sisters LuAnn M. Pitcher, sister-in-laws Carol A Eslinger and husband James, and Mary L. Marvel, grandsons Samuel J. Myers, Noah E. Myers and several nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m., Tuesday, Sept 29, at the Maple Avenue United Methodist Church with Rev. David Rockhill officiating. Visitation will be at 10 a.m., until the service begins. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Maple Avenue United Methodist Church Building Fund in Terre Haute.
