The Marching Knights scored 71.60 in the competition and dominated the additional awards capturing overall Visual, General Effect, Auxillary and Percussion. Jasper, which finished second place with a score of 69.60, prevented a clean sweep of the awards by capturing top honors for Overall Music.
Plainfield rounded out the competition, finishing in third place with 68.35.
The Marching Knights came into the competition ranked No. 1 among Class B bands in the www.indianamarching.com poll and Jasper, which also won the Class B trophy at the Avon Meijer Invitation Saturday, was ranked No. 2 in the poll, which came out Sept. 21.
The Clay City Imperial Regiment had a busy, yet successful Saturday, placing second in Class D at the Avon Meijer Invitational, and third at the Meijer Greenwood Band Invitational.
In Avon, the Imperial Regiment registered a score of 55.75, while Springs Valley, ranked No. 1 among Class D bands, won the trophy and all awards with an overall score of 71.05 and Riverton Parke placed third, scoring 45.95.
In the Greenwood competition, Clay City scored 50.85, slightly behind second place Morristown (53.05), but ahead of Triton Central (46.65), which finished fourth. Springs Valley again exhibited its dominance in Class D by winning the trophy and sweeping the awards in this competition as well.
www.indianamarching.com poll. Monrovia (47 votes) currently holds the No. 10 spot, with Morristown (35 votes) slightly ahead of the Imperial Regiment.

Both the Marching Knights and Imperial Regiment will be in action Oct. 3, at the District Competition at Southport High School.
The Imperial Regiment will round out the Class D portion of the contest by performing at 11:13 a.m., with Riverton Parke as its competition.
The Marching Knights will kickoff the Class B portion with a 1:23 p.m., performance time. Also performing in Class B during the competition are Greenwood (tied for fourth in the Sept. 21 poll), Mooresville, Plainfield (T-sixth) and Whiteland.
