CLINTON -- The Northview volleyball team picked up an easy three-game win over South Vermillion on Thursday night, 25-14, 25-14, 25-15.
Brittaney Long had 11 kills, eight digs with a pair of aces and Lizzie Emmert posted four assists, two digs and a kill. Kaylee Clarke had four kills, nine digs and two aces while Hannah Hayes added 11 assists, two kills and two aces. Ali Sharton added another 11 assists for the Knights with two kills, seven aces and five digs on the defensive side. Brylie Riddell rang up seven kills, two blocks, two digs and two aces with Samantha Solomon tallying three kills and two digs. Maxine West had two digs, Alyssa Clarke had three kills and three blocks.
"This was a game that we just wanted to get out of there without any injuries," Northview coach Scott Buell said. "We were able to play several girls and rest some of our regulars. We were superior to them in every phase of the game. We utilized our serving to put them in poor offensive situations. Our serve receive was very good and we did not play down to the talent of our opponent."
Northview is now 17-4 overall and travels to Boonville for tournament play today.
