He was born March 16, 1965, in Phoenix, Ariz., the son of Albert Forest Moore and Sandra Hirt Moore.
He was raised in Clay County and graduated from Staunton High School, class of 1983.
He worked as a machinist for JWS Machine in Brazil until his health problems became too difficult.
Shawn was currently attending the Family Worship Center and enjoyed playing in the praise band.
His passion and joy on this earth was making music and his children.
He played in several bands over the years and currently played guitar and was vocalist with the band "Sakes Alive."
Shawn had a special nephew, Zachary Moore, that he taught to play guitar and was an inspiration to Zach in life.
He was preceded in death by his father Albert Forest Moore Sr., and infant brother Albert Forest Moore Jr.
Survivors include his mother Sandra Moore, Brazil, his wife Cyndi Workman Moore, daughters Macy Moore, 6, and Sandra Jo-Linn Moore, 2, stepson Blake Delp, brothers Forest Allen Moore and wife Penny, Albert John Moore and wife Toni, all of Brazil, and William George Moore and wife Dawn, San Antonio, Texas, several nieces and nephews and extended family.
At his request, cremation will take place with a memorial service to take place Wednesday, at 4 p.m., at French Funeral Home, with Pastor Larry Richmond officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services.
The family suggests that if friends so desire, memorial contributions may be directed to the trust fund established for his daughters. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
