Sept. 11 breakfast a success

Tuesday, October 6, 2009

To the Editor:

On Sept. 11, 2009, Traditions/Pappy's and Cloverleaf Health Car co-sponsored a heroes breakfast for first responders.

Most of us do not realize that these people, who go above and beyond daily, are heroes until we find ourselves in a crisis or tragedy.

We made and served breakfast to approximately 150 of our heroes. I am sure many were missed or were unable to attend due to work schedules, as many of our heroes are volunteers and have to work.

Breakfast was a small way to show our appreciation for the jobs you do for us and the sacrifices you make.

We would like to thank Pappy's/Traditions crews, whom without being asked, volunteered to get up early and work very hard for this event.

We would also like to thank the Cloverleaf crew for advertising and delivering breakfast to many of our heroes.

Rick and Kathy Bell,
