Randall Hollis Staggs, 78, Brazil, passed away Sept. 22, 2009, at 2:15 p.m., at Danville Regional Rehabilitation Center, Danville.

He was born May 17, 1931, in Ferndale, Ind., to Clarence P. Staggs and Elizabeth F. Coombs Staggs.

He was a 1949 Graduate of Union High School, Bellmore, Ind., and served in the United States Air Force. On Oct. 11, 1981, he married Ocie Phipps in Greencastle. Randall worked as a Press Operator for IBM, and was also a farmer and truck driver. He had memberships with Pittsboro Lodge No. 620 F&AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis, Pittsboro Chapter No. 416 OES and was a Boy Scout Troop Leader for over 50 years in Rockville and Columbus, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Roy Staggs and John Knauer and a sister Mable Fortner.

He is survived by his wife Ocie Staggs, Brazil, son Timothy Michael (Pat) Staggs, Orient, Ohio, two daughters Randi Sue Briebach, Columbus, Ohio, Carol Jayne (Joseph) Lattorre, Sylvania, Ohio, stepson Thomas Alexander, Florida, three stepdaughters Malinda Leah (Donald) Waters, Pittsboro, Ind., Jane (Gary) Baldwin, Pittsboro, Ind., Michele Little, Asheboro, N.C., two brothers Raymond Staggs, Kingman, Ind., Clarence Staggs Jr., Rockville, sister Mary Vibbert, Danville, 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Services were Friday, Sept. 25, at Barnes and Rice Funeral Home, Rockville, with Rev. Alan Cloar officiating. A Masonic memorial service was conducted during the visitation and he was buried in Memory Garden Cemetery with Military Graveside Rites by Parke County Veterans.
