Imogene R. Brown Phillips, 92, Indianapolis, died at her residence Thursday, Oct. 15, 2009.
She was born Sept. 10, 1917, in Vigo County.
She was a cafeteria worker in Executive Cafeteria at Allison's, and also a former counterperson at Haag's Drugs.
She was a member of the White Cross Guild, Amaravith Gold Link No. 7, OFS No. 456 Corinthian Chapter for more than 50 years, and the Speedway Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles M. Phillips and son Everett Phillips.
She is survived by daughter Viola "Vi" (Wilbur) M. Phillips Groseclose, son Paul G. Phillips (Shirley), daughter-in-law Elsie Phillips, brother Robert E. Brown (Carol), niece Karen (Mel) McCullough), grandchildren Gail Larsen, Connie Groseclose, David (Terri) Groseclose, Phyllis (Ralph) English, Donna (Eric) Thomas, Darrell (Lisa) Phillips, and Dennis Phillips, great-grandchildren Amy Larsen, TJ English, Jessica, Cassie and Kyle Thomas, Annie and Allie Phillips and great-nephews Adam and Brian McCullough.
Services will take place at 11:30 a.m., Monday, at Conkle Funeral Home, 4925 W. 16th St., Speedway. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home.
Burial will take place at Floral Park Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Indianapolis Humane Society.
