Pumpkin perfection
Forest Park Elementary Title 1 Coordinator Debbie Zimmerman announced fifth-grade student Justine Smith as the grand champion of the pumpkin-decorating contest for her scariest pumpkin entry Wednesday. Students decorated pumpkins in their classrooms to fit in one of seven categories: funniest, scariest, happiest, saddest, prettiest, most patriotic and most unusual. Every student received a pencil, the champions received a $5 gift card to McDonalds and Smith received a $20 Walmart gift card. Kimberly Gleason Photo.
