He was born Feb. 14, 1939, in Brazil, as the son of Everett and Della Mae Murphy Estes Sr.
He graduated from Brazil High School and served in the U.S. Army.
He worked at General Motors for many years until his retirement.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Everett Estes Jr.
He is survived by daughters Debbie Gott, Plainfield, Robyn (John) Bolin, Oaklandon, Ind., and Cynthia Zook, Indianapolis, son Randall Estes, Mooresville, grandchildren Billy and Justin Gott, Corey and Nicholas Estes and Shelby and Skyler Zook.
Funeral services will take place at noon, Saturday, Oct. 31, at Moore Funeral Home, with Pastor Tim Lindsey officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Calcutta Cemetery.
Visitation for family and friends is at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
