Michele Lynn Tucker, 33, passed away Oct. 12, 2009, at her home in Salt Lake City, Utah.

She served full-time as a Technical Sergeant in the 151st Communications Flight in the Utah Air National Guard, where she served several tours overseas during the Afghanistan and Iraq wars.

She volunteered as a youth counselor in the Freedom Academy and was an active participant in the Air Force Honor Guard at Camp Williams Military Base and was a member of the Junior Enlisted Council as well.

While in the Middle East, Michele volunteered to help make children's lives better by helping to build playgrounds, bathrooms and schools.

Michele is survived by her mother JoDee Steele and husband David, Nevada, father Jim Tucker and wife Tonia, Brazil, sisters Jamie Davis and husband Jason, Utah, Kensey Kunkel, Terre Haute, and SanDee DeHeer and husband Gary, Utah, brothers Randy Kunkel and wife Jenell, Terre Haute, and Christopher Pace, Utah, grandparents Rex and Marilyn Tucker, Brazil, Jim and Dea McMahon, Brazil, and Ron and Sandra Pace, Utah, four nieces and four nephews, and several uncles, aunts and cousins.

She will be greatly missed by family and friends.

A memorial service will take place for family and Friends Sunday, Nov. 1, at Family Worship Center of the Wabash Valley, at the corner of United States 40 and Staunton Road, from 1:30-3:30 p.m.
