At approximately 7:06 a.m., officials with the Clay County Sheriff's Department received a 911 call regarding an accident on State Road 157 south of County Road 800 S.
Upon arrival, CCSD officials discovered a Fed Ex vehicle had been traveling north on SR 157 and struck a tree that had fallen across both lanes of the road.
The driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene by Clay County Coroner Joel Reinoehl.
The portion of SR 157 was temporarily closed as crews from Peffley and Hinshaw Wrecker Service removed the vehicle. In addition, officials with the Indiana State Highway Department arrived at the scene to remove the tree from the roadway.
The name of the driver has not been released pending family notification.
Other agencies responding to the accident included the Clay City Fire Department, Lewis Township Volunteer Fire Department and TransCare.

So, anyone out there heard a name? I'm sure the family's been notified by now.
If you go to the Tribune Star wesite they have his obit, apparently the family does know who it is. So the name has been released.
