Contemporary play to be performed by Thespian Troupe

Tuesday, November 3, 2009

The Northview High School Thespian Troupe No. 872 will present "Voices from Washington High."

The contemporary play recounts the trials, tribulations and stresses that comes from being in high school.

There are a close circle of friends, including Izzy (Caroline Disney), Eddie (Eric Fults), Laura (Kendra McCrea), and Jessica (Hannah Hoopingarner) who have their own individual troubles to worry about but have been there for one another since their days at PS 215.

Everything seems fine until the arrival of Coulee Mark (Jake Short). Coulee is a tough guy who is bad news but, unfortunately, the girls love him. He creates conflict in what has always been a peaceful if poor school.

Life spirals downward and out of control and the students at Washington High wonder if life will ever be the same.

The play will be presented to the public Thursday and Friday and the community is encouraged to attend.

General admission tickets are $3 for students and $5 for adults.

Tickets will be sold at the door or by calling Dianna Knox at the school, 448-2661 Ext. 1462.
