The Washington Township Circle Club met Oct. 8 at the home of Wilma Rich. Doris Romas, president, called the meeting to order at 1 p.m. Shortly after, the Pledge to the American Flag and the Homemakers creed were repeated.

Martha McKenzi gave devotions "Venner." Shortly after, the question "Do you have trick or treaters at your house?" was answered by five members and guest Lacy Strouch. Following that, the group sang "I'm looking over a Four Leaf Clover," and took collections.

Dorris gave two reports during the meeting. The group then approved the citizenship lesson program "Father of Indiana State Parks." The Circle Club donated money for the 4-H awards on achievement night. The program ended with the serving of refreshments and general socialization. Martha won the monthly door prize.

The next meeting of the Washington Township Circle Club will take place Nov. 12 at 10 a.m. Currently on the agenda is the finishing of puppy pillows, and Brenda's lesson "Peppers."
