Fourth-ranked Pioneers defeat Knights

MOORESVILLE -- The Northview girls' basketball team had a tall task on Thursday night, hitting the road to take on the Mooresville Pioneers.

Mooresville, ranked fourth in the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association Poll, scored a 66-25 win over the Knights.

The Pion-eers jumped out in the fourth quarter to take a 20-2 lead and cruised to remain unbeaten in the young season.

Highly regarded Pioneer junior, Jama Sharp, led the scoring with 22 points followed by Maegan Calloway's 13 points.

Northview got six points apiece from Alyssa Conrad and Ali Sharton followed by five from Kelsey Searing and four apiece from Carlee Bell and Chelsey Sampson.

The Pioneers also claimed the JV game with a 46-9 victory.

The Knights host Terre Haute South on Saturday evening with a 6 p.m. junior varsity tip-off.
