Staunton's Combined Community Thanksgiving Service will be at Staunton United Methodist Church this Sunday, Nov. 22, at 6 p.m.

This is an annual tradition sponsored by Staunton Christian Church and Staunton United Methodist Church. Special music will be provided by the James Family Singers. After the service, there will be a time for refreshments and fellowship in the church basement. Everyone in the area is invited to attend.

Staunton First Christian Church

Children's Church and Wee Worship meet at 10:30 a.m., in the Educational Building. There will be no Wednesday evening Bible Study this week.

Staunton United Methodist Church

Sunday School is at 9:30 a.m. with Church Service following at 10:30 a.m.

Mike Baker from Terre Haute is filling in as our pastor, while David and Elaine Brown take a few weeks off.

Members of the congregation are taking turns presenting the Children's Message. Glenna Simons is the pianist.

Remember that the Community Food Pantry is open in the church's basement from 3-5 p.m., usually on the last Wednesday afternoon of each month.

However, the Food Pantry day this month will be next Tuesday Nov. 24, because of Thanksgiving. Anyone in the Staunton area in need of help is welcome.

We truly appreciate the support of Staunton First Christian Church and Staunton Elementary School, as well as other churches, civic organizations, and individuals in helping to make this needed outreach a success.

Please keep praying for everyone who is battling illness, as well as all the brave men and women of our military and their families.

Also remember in prayer all the folks in nursing homes and hospitals, and those who have lost loved ones. Go out of your way to be kind to someone, and pray for everyone.
