Vigil to take place

Wednesday, November 25, 2009

Area residents Bob and Jerry Lybarger will conduct a memorial service to honor their parents Friday.

Herschel and Marjory Lybarger were killed by a drunk driver Nov. 29, 1989, on United States 40, on the west edge of Brazil.

The Lybargers have gathered at the crash site every year -- with the exception of 2008 -- on the day following Thanksgiving.

The event will take place at 10 a.m., and is sponsored through Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD).

I agree. If you are going to drink, don't drive. That vehicle is just as deadly as a bullet.
