Big donation!

Tuesday, December 1, 2009

The owner and staff members of the Alabama Bar and Grill want to help make sure local needy children have a Christmas this year. Owner Kelly Market (middle) and her father Ray Allen (left) presented a $1,200 check to Brazil City Police Chief Dave Archer Tuesday for the upcoming ninth Shop With A Cop Program. Although no more applications are currently being handed out, Archer said selected families will soon receive an invitation to have cookies and punch and a visit with Mr. and Mrs. Claus at Riddell National Bank before going shopping with local law enforcement officers. The dates for the two-day event at Walmart have yet to be scheduled. Ivy Jacobs Photo.
