The three-bedroom, brick home is found in St. Andrews Glen subdivision. The Rains family has been in the neighborhood for a short amount of time, but they love the community and neighbors they have found there. The family has been busy stringing lights and hanging evergreen wreaths from the windows.
The home has a great room design concept. The dining room is found to the right of the entrance. Black columns set off a painted black table with upholstered chairs and black hutch that stands against the wall. The table is set for dinner. Poinsettia and hunter green dishes are lining the shelves of the hutch.
The kitchen overlooks the dining and family rooms. Snowmen and greenery top off the kitchen cabinets. Peppermint stripes and candies are placed about, keep your eyes on the look out. The family room holds the family's twelve-foot Christmas tree. The tree is decked in red and silver ornaments. Candy canes are dangling between. Comfy seating and wood laminate finish out the living room. Out the windows of the family room a screened-in porch is found and a patio with a large outdoor table and chairs can be seen. The backyard also holds a swing set for the children.
The Rains' daughter, Callie, has a classic young girl's room. A flowered bedspread covers the bed. A small tree sits on top of a small table in the corner. The tree is dressed in pinks and glitter. The word "peace" is highlighted on the tree. Their son, Carter, is a huge sports lover. His room is complete with a blue and white tree, in honor of the Colts. Also, the home has many cute pieces of wall art by Upper Case Living. Included are both of the children's names in their rooms. The children's bathroom, one of the home's two and a half bathrooms, is decorated in whimsical Christmas items.
The master bedroom is complete with a striking black four-poster bed. A pinecone bedspread coats the bed. Wintery evergreen touches are found in the master bathroom. When you enter this room, look up for a wintery scene hiding above your head.
Along with the Rains family, the Home Tour includes the homes of: Sam Glover, Josh and Carissa Clarke, and Jayne Merritt.
