Devin James Hyatt, 21, Brazil, died Dec. 3, at Union Hospital.

He was born Nov. 9, 1988, in Vigo County, to Mitchell and Kimberly (Mitten) Hyatt.

He graduated from Northview High School in May 2007 and attended Ivy Tech, Terre Haute. He was a partner in Hyatt and Sons Construction.

Devin was actively involved in the Clay Youth Football League as a coach and referee. He enjoyed attending his brothers sporting events. At the age of 15, he began working with his dad at Hyatt and Sons Construction.

Devin was an avid Chicago Bears fan. He was a loyal, compassionate and loving person who will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by grandfather Jimmie Ray Hyatt.

He is survived by his parents, siblings Damon, Dylan and Jinna Hyatt, grandparents Mary Hyatt and Bill Sneddon, Randall and Linda Mitten, aunts and uncles Susan Hyatt, Tom and Brandy Hyatt, Forrest and Traci Skelton, Sam Sneddon, Bob and Melanie Walker, several cousins and special friend Cleta Baker and sons David and William.

Visitation is scheduled for 4-8 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 8, and 11 a.m.-noon, Dec. 9, at Berea Christian Church. Services will be held noon, Dec. 9, at Berea Christian Church with Pastor Tom Hess officiating. Burial will follow at Calcutta Cemetery.
