GREENCASTLE -- Putnam County Community Foundation Director of Community Development Eric Wolfe was recently named to represent community foundations on the Youth Philanthropy Initiative of Indiana's State Steering Committee.

Wolfe joins a group of nine other corporate government and non-profit leaders from around the state in advising on the strategic direction and goals for the Youth Philanthropy Initiative of Indiana.

Wolfe has served the Community Foundation since January 2005, where he currently staffs the Youth Philanthropy Committee, among other duties. Previously, he coordinated the Youth As Resources Program in Brazil, as an Americorps member and later led a national youth-adult partnership initiative with National 4-H Council, located just outside of Washington, D.C.

The Youth Philanthropy Initiative of Indiana's (YPII) mission is to grow lifelong philanthropists who give their time, talent and treasure for the common good. YPII accomplishes this through providing training and resources on youth giving and serving, promoting partnerships and collaborations, and supporting youth philanthropy programs across the state that are meeting Indiana's philanthropic needs.

For more information about YPII, visit www.ypin.org.

Wolfe graduated from Northview High School in 2000.
