Michael to meet residents, answer their questions

Wednesday, December 9, 2009

State Rep. Nancy Michael (D-Greencastle) will bring her Statehouse office to the 44th House District Dec. 18, to meet with area residents, answer questions about the 2010 session of the Indiana General Assembly and help them respond to any problems they might be having with state government agencies.

"I will be conducting office hours in both Putnam and Clay counties on Friday, Dec. 18," Michael said. "This is a chance for my constituents to talk with me in person if they want to discuss the upcoming legislative session, which starts on Jan. 5.

"If they are having any problems with state agencies, or need some help maneuvering through the red tape, I encourage them to join me during office hours to see if we can find some answers," Michael added. "Since coming to the Indiana House, I have placed a priority on constituent service, and I want to make myself as available as possible to the people I represent."

Michael will be at the Clay County Courthouse in the Commissioners Room (located on the first floor), from 1:30-4 p.m., Dec. 18.

Those that are unable to attend may still reach Michael by calling the toll-free Statehouse telephone number at 1-800-382-9842, e-mailing www.in.gov/H44, or writing to her at the Indiana House of Representatives, 200 W. Washington St., Indianapolis, Ind., 46204.
