She was born Aug. 13, 1922, in Owen County, to Alvine and Hatty (Douglass) Piso.
She graduated from Quincy High School in 1941.
Peggy married David Danhour Nov. 29, 1941.
She worked at Finley's Grocery Store in Harmony for 13 years.
She married Kenneth Harvey "Hap" Day Aug. 18, 1974. After marrying Mr. Day, she lived in Lehigh, Fla., for 25 years. While in Florida, she enjoyed playing miniature golf, deep sea fishing, sewing bibs and lap blankets for nursing home residents and to donate to Riley Hospital.
She was a member of the "Quincy Where" group, which traveled to other Quincy's across the United States, Wesley Chapel Church and volunteered at the Food Pantry and the Brazil Moose Lodge.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, brothers Norman Piso, Charles Piso and Marvin Piso, grandchildren Eddie Ray Stallcop, Sharie Lynn Stallcop, Stephen Dale Stallcop, and Tracey Vanatti.
Survivors include her children Curtis Danhour (Phyllis), Greencastle, Sharon Stallcop (Paul), Karen Susie Vanatti (Chet), John Danhour (Connie), all of Brazil, and Joyce Wheeler (Dan), Clay City, stepchildren Kenneth Day, Michael Day, David Day, Brian Day and Gail Day, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law Marge Freida, and Barbara, and brother-in-law Lee Day.
Services will be at Wesley Chapel Church, at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2009, with Jeff Sumner officiating. Burial will follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Monday, at French Funeral Home, and again Tuesday, from 10 a.m. until time of service.
