Helen F. Jones, 80, Sidney, Iowa, formerly of Tabor, Iowa, died Sunday, Dec. 13, 2009, at Shenandoah Care Center following a brief illness.
Helen was born April 12, 1929, in Brazil, to Daniel Cedric Watts and Goldie Wauneta (Church) Watts.
On April 12, 1936, she was married to George E. Jones in Maceo, Ky. They had been married for more than 50 years when George died.
Helen was a member of the Tabor Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and was an avid reader.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, George E. Jones.
She is survived by daughters Toni Rose and husband Bob, Sidney, Iowa, and Mary Jane Fox and husband Steve, Muscatine, Iowa, son Dan Jones and wife Karen, Glenwood, Iowa, grandchildren John Rose, Chris Rose and Summer, Greg Jones and Kelly, David Jones, Chad Golden, Jamie Golden and Amanda, Heather Harkey and TJ, Angie Tackett and Cody, Aaron Jones and Gina, and Andrew Fox, 13 great-grandchildren, brother Daniel C. Watts Sr., Terre Haute, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 18, 2009, at the Tabor Iowa Cemetery, with Pastor Jeff Jewett of the Tabor Iowa Church of the Nazarene officiating.
Visitation was open at 5 p.m., Thursday, at the Crawford-Marshall Funeral Chapel, Tabor, Iowa.
A memorial fund has been established.
