Fourth quarter surge leads Lady Eels past Bulldogs

DUGGER -- The Clay City Eels used a 17-4 burst in the fourth quarter of a SWIAC contest on the road at Dugger on Thursday night to score a 50-29 win over the Bulldogs.

The win snapped a four-game slide for the Eels and evens Clay City City's record at 5-5 overall and im-proves their SWIAC record to 3-1 this season.

Brielle Drelick scored a game-high 17 points for the Eels, who put eight players in the scoring column of the lopsided victory.

Clay City is now off for the holidays until a Dec. 30 trip to compete at the South Putnam Tournament.
